Kristen Potter

Kristen Potter, 38, of Clouser Hollow Road, New Bloomfield died tragically on Thursday, March 16, 2023 near her home. She was a loving daughter and mother who had endured much sadness and grief over the past few years with the sudden death of her husband followed by the death of her son three months later. She found love again with her fiancé, Jacob Fickett, who cherished Kristen and her boys. Born October 9, 1984, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Wells) Keefer. Kristen was a self-employed hairdresser for many years and had worked at The Mane Difference in Mechanicsburg and the Regis Corporation. She was a graduate of West Perry High School and Cumberland-Perry Votech. Kristen was a simple woman with an empathetic heart; always willing to help someone in need. She loved animals, nature, music, connecting with friends and most of all, her family. She was the widow of Ryan Potter (2020.) In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Trent Potter (10) and Ryder Potter (16) both at home, soon to be adopted by her fiancé. A sister and best friend, Jennifer Keefer and companion, Brandon Zeiders of Newport; two brothers, William James Keefer and wife Danielle of Port Royal and Adam S. Keefer and wife Chalyn of Mechanicsburg, and sister -in-law, Raeanne Potter of Loysville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Trevor Potter (2020.) A celebration of Kristen’s life will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, March 26, 2023 in The Family Life Center, 27 W. Shortcut Road, Newport. A visitation will be held from 1-3 PM. A Memorial account is being set up with Orrstown Bank to benefit her children. The Boyer Family joins the community in grieving with, and for, the Potter Family. The Potter Family now grieves again for the tragic loss of Kristen, its third member in three Years.
