Dale E. Reisinger

Dale E. “Reese” Reisinger of Blain went to be with his Lord early on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, with his family by his side. Born July 20, 1936, in Ickesburg to the late George P. Sr. and Helen (Zondory) Reisinger. He attended Newport Assembly of God Church and was a 1954 graduate of Green Park Union, where he served as class president. He worked at the Bedford Shoe Company from the time he graduated until his retirement when they closed in 1998. He was an avid Penn State football and wrestling fan and Pittsburgh Steelers and a diehard Yankees fan. He served on numerous mission trips which included Haiti and a Native American reservation. He was very handy and if he couldn’t fix something he would make a new one. He was president of Blain town council for years. He loved to hunt deer, turkey, and coon. In his younger days, he helped coach his sons and many others with Blain midget, sandlot and WP Legion baseball. He was devoted and loved watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play any sport. His favorite place to be anywhere his family was. He made sure there was an annual family vacation for over 50 years in Wildwood Crest, NJ. He loved the outdoors and said that is where he felt the closest to God. He loved to shoot pool with his buddies. He had a hug for everyone and a smile that touched everyone’s heart. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Patricia (Stoke), 5 children, which he named all: Dory Frownfelter, Rick (Deanna) Reisinger, Randy “Chip”(Tammy) Reisinger, Tammy (Denny) Rahn, and Lenny “Abe” Reisinger, 10 grandchildren: Rian Geesaman, Faith Weaver, Patience Hill, Justice Frownfelter, Trent Reisinger, TJ Reisinger, Halle Reisinger, Trace Reisinger, Andrea Byerly and Aaron Rahn, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by a sister, Laureen Fuller. He was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Wayne Reisinger, George Reisinger, Selma Hench, and Sandra Goodhart. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 PM on October 8, 2023, in the Family Life Center, 27 Shortcut Road, Newport, Pa. A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow the service.
