Vivian A. Beaston 7/8/35 - 3/27/21 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. - 2 Corinthians 4:18 Vivian A. Beaston, 85, of New Bloomfield went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from her home with family present. She was born in Ickesburg July 8, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Anna (Weibley) Johnson and was a 1953 graduate of Green Park High School. She bravely and quietly battled nearly a lifetime of Bronchiectasis and more recently Pnuemonia. Vivian was a kind and gentle woman with a warm smile. She was a homemaker, an excellent seamstress and had won over 60 Perry County Fair ribbons. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, now known as Faith United Church of Ickesburg. She was Brownie Scout leader, a lifelong member of the Girls Scouts of America, a merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts and a member of the New Bloomfield Civic Club. She worked at Harrisons Greenhouse and relished warm sunny days at BCC swimming pool with her children, grandchildren and friends. She assisted her beloved Dale with Meals on Wheels and loved and supported all her children's 4H, FFA and sporting events. A Pittsburgh Pirates baseball fan, she enjoyed travelling to the ball park for games and never missed a televised game. She loved growing pineapples in her sunroom year after year. She was the widow of her loving husband Dale J.Beaston, being married nearly 60 years. Surviving are a daughter, Lucinda Haas and husband Gary, a son, Nathan Beaston and wife Karon, a sister Bernice Hartz and husband Kenneth. Five grandchildren, Lisa (Haas) Loy, Trisha (Haas) Comp (Viv's daily caregiver) Joseph Haas; Gretchen (Haas) Fry and Jordan (Beaston) Cantando. 10 great grandchildren, with another on the way. SERVICE DETAILS Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Faith United Church, Ickesburg. Her Pastor, Elaine Moyer will officiate. A walk-through viewing will be held from 10-11 AM. A public graveside service will be held at 12:45 in New Bloomfield Cemetery.
