Shirley G Aughenbaugh Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, Shirley G. Aughenbaugh, 81, of Mechanicsburg went home to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. She was the daughter of the late James and Goldie (Sweger) Askins. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Corrin Aughenbaugh. Two sons Scott L. and wife Beth of Dillsburg and Kirby A. and wife Ann of Mechanicsburg. Two granddaughters, Melissa A. Trimmer and husband Mark and Kali Aughenbaugh, grandson Timothy S. Aughenbaugh all of New Cumberland. Two great grandsons, Zachary and Logan Baker of New Cumberland, three step grandsons Jacob, Luke and Thomas Molsky all of Dillsburg and a sister Glenda Kelley. Nieces, Susan Edgern and Sharon Pellman of Mechanicsburg, a brother-in-law Roger Aughenbaugh and wife Bonnie of Liverpool, a sister-in-law Millie Aughenbaugh, nephews Andrew and Matthew all of Maryland. She was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Askins of New Bloomfield and brother-in-law James Aughenbaugh of South Carolina. Shirley was a 1958 graduate and Prom Queen of the former Perry Joint High School and a graduate of the Carlisle School of Business. She worked as a stay-at-home mother who took excellent care of her husband and sons. She and her husband are members of the Bible Baptist Church of Shiremanstown since 1965. Shirley loved her Lord and her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family, friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed interior decorating, painting, ceramics and traveling. She traveled to all 50 states and all 7 continents. Her favorite country was China where her granddaughter Kali was born. The family appreciates, and would like to thank, the Bridges of Bent Creek in Mechanicsburg and the staff of West Shore Hospital for their exceptional care. Shirley will be greatly missed by all who knew her especially her husband and family. "You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide and although we can not see you, you are always at our side." Funeral services will be held Friday October 22,2021 at 11:00am in the Bible Baptist Church of Shiremanstown. Pastor Bryan Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to service at the church. The Boyer Family is honored to handle arrangements for the Aughenbaugh Family.
