Richard M. Cliber Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard M. Cliber, age 65 of Duncannon, PA passed away in his home on February 20, 2018. He was born June 29, 1952 in Altoona, where his family resided until moving to Camp Hill. Rick retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania payroll division, but worked many second jobs throughout the years to support his family. He most recently worked for Faulkner Auto Group where he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his co-workers. He could often be found sitting outdoors enjoying the weather and waving to passersby. He had a talent for starting conversations with whomever he met and was known for his hospitality and lending a helping hand in times of need. Quick to laugh and express his love for friends and family, Rick enjoyed shooting pool, cheering for Penn State, Notre Dame, and the University of Georgia, reading a good book, or watching his favorite television shows. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Susan K. (Burd) Cliber, his son James Lindenberger, daughter Tonya Dugas and husband Pete (children Mia, William, and Virginia), daughter Amy Nearhood and husband John (children Eli and Kayla, grandchildren Dillon and Jacob), daughter Megan Weaver and husband Geoffrey (children Olivia and Kenneth), daughter Sarah Knipe and husband Clinton (son Calvin), and daughter Elizabeth Cliber and fiancé Shaun Black. He is also survived by siblings Bruce Cliber and wife Linda, LuAnn Stein and husband Corey, and David Cliber and wife Valerie, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Michael and MaryLou Kelly and brother Michael. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, 2800 Paxton Church Road, Harrisburg. Rev. Paul C. Helwig will be celebrant. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018 in the Boyer Family Funeral Home, 230 N. High St., Duncannon, and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church. A luncheon will follow at Tree of Life Lutheran Church.
