Edmund "Ed" J. Lodge 1/6/56 - 4/6/21 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. - 2 Corinthians 4:18 Edmund "Ed" J. Lodge, 65, of Shermans Dale, PA, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2021. Ed graduated from West Chester University and went on to become a successful and respected commercial account field underwriter with State Farm for 42 years. He retired in January 2020 and enjoyed his retired life to the fullest. Ed was an avid outdoorsman. He loved skiing, hunting, fishing, hiking, and bird watching. He enjoyed fishing trips with his son and nephews. Ed always had a camera in hand and loved capturing memories. Most recently, Ed's favorite pastime was hanging out with his best bud, his grandson Joey. Beloved husband of Sandy (Saydek) Lodge. Loving father of Amanda Caviston (Joseph) of Camp Hill, PA, Tommy Lodge (Cindy Dunn) of Boynton Beach, FL. Loving "Pop" to his grandson, Joey Caviston. He was preceded in death by his father, Edmund G. Lodge, and his mother, Elizabeth Hunt Lodge. In addition to being survived by his wife of 38 years, his children, son-in-law, future daughter-in-law, and grandson, Ed also leaves behind two brothers, three sisters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and countless friends. SERVICE DETAILS A celebration of Ed's life will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Ducks Unlimited. Boyer Family Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, is honored to handle the arrangements for the Lodge family.
