Clyde “Charlie” Charles Bishop Jr. 56, formerly of Landisburg, Perry County, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Bethany Towers in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Born March 6, 1965, he was the son of the late Clyde “Charlie” Charles Bishop Sr. He was formerly employed in the fast food industry for many years. He was an active member of the Mountain Side Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in Harrisburg, where he served as a ministerial servant. He enjoyed attending live professional baseball and hockey games with friends. As a teenager he enjoyed riding his enduro motorcycle and driving his Blue 1977 Camaro. He had an entrepreneur spirit, and would sell the Grit paper door to door. He was a proud member of the Future Farmers of America, while at West Perry High School. He grew up working on the farm, and enjoyed swimming in the creek and running in the woods with his many siblings. In addition to his father Charlie was preceded in death by his brother, Baby boy Bishop in 1971. He is survived by his mother, Connie Lee (Martino) Bishop of Landisburg; four brothers, Clinton “Frank” George Franklin Bishop of Landisburg, William “Bill” Wyatt Bishop of Landisburg, Lincoln James Bishop of Landisburg, and Jason David Bishop husband of Michelle of Columbus Ohio; four sisters, Barbara Lee Bronson wife of Phil of New Bloomfield, Linda Lou Murray wife of Al of Greenburg, Mariann Michelle Haas wife of Ethan of New York, and Sheila Renee Trimble wife of Les “Butch” Trimble of Blain; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Two memorial services will be held, one on computer via zoom Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 1 pm, with Brother Jason Faust officiating. Call 717-713-0281 for number and PIN. Service will also be held at Boyer Family Funeral Home in New Bloomfield on Saturday, July 31, 2021. Visitation will be held from 2 pm to 3 pm, memorial service at 3 pm, with Brother Linn Dietz officiating. A private inurnment will be in the Restland Cemetery in Loysville at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral cost can be sent to Boyer Family Funeral Home at 101 West Main Street, New Bloomfield, Pa. 17068.
