Percy D. Hipple Jr

Percy D. Hipple, Jr., 72, of New Bloomfield PA, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Born January 9, 1949, in Harrisburg, PA. He was the son of the late Percy D Hipple Sr. and Josephine Laura (Weaver) Hipple. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harrison R. Hipple and Robert W. Hipple; He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Helen L. (Dorsey) Hipple; two daughters: Coriena M Hipple Merejo and husband Jose of Holiday FL, and Salina J Kobielnik and husband Eugene of Oley, PA; grandchildren America R Crabill and husband Adam of Shippensburg, Bryan and Braily Corporan of Perth Amboy, NJ, great grandchildren; Xyla Stansbury, Willow and Jeryn Crabill of Shippensburg, brothers; George C Hipple and wife Kaylyn of Redding, CA, Ronald L. Hipple and wife Margaret of Tunnel Hill,GA, Gregory A. Hipple and wife Belen of Guam, Richard G. Hipple and wife Judy of Carlisle; Sister-in-Law Anna Hipple wife of Robert W. Hipple. Many loved nieces and nephews; Kelly, Ronnie, Anna, Harrison, Jonathan, Jad, Brittany, Deb, Diane, Bobbie Ann, Darryl, Kendra, Brian (preceded in death),Desa, Kenja, Keena, Cassie, Ricky, Zach, and Ryan. Percy was a very loving man to his family, friends, and all who knew him. He was a Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, a postal worker retired from New Cumberland Post Office and a man who really loved the Lord. In the early years and into his early 40's, he was passionate about watching and playing basketball. Mid 40's and into early retirement he enjoyed golf with his Post Office buddies. He's always been a lover of animals and people. He was often seen around New Bloomfield having breakfast with his buddy Gary and making his rounds from Swenson's to the bait shop so he could fish out by Little Buffalo State Park. Throughout his life Percy most enjoyed being with friends and family especially his great grandchildren who were the light of his life. He loved a good story or joke. He always had a way of connecting with people and sharing an encouraging word. His absence leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of many. Family visitation will be held from 12 p.m until the Memorial Service starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Boyer's Funeral home 101 W Main St, New Bloomfield. Burial will be immediately after the Memorial Service at New Bloomfield Cemetery including Military send off. Following the burial, family and friends are then graciously welcomed to gather and celebrate his life at the Lutheran Church 46 W High Street in New Bloomfield catered by Littles Catering in New Bloomfield.
