After a courageous battle with cancer, Crystal passed away on February 24, 2021 at home with her family in Shermans Dale, PA. She was the beloved wife of Tim Groff. Crystal was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and grew up in North East, PA. She was the daughter of Larry and Debbie Hayes. Besides her husband, Crystal leaves behind her daughter, Rachel Hassinger (Isaac), daughter Elizabeth Morrison (Matthew), son Sam Groff, and daughter Leah Groff. Crystal also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Becky Hayes (Randy), Sarah Hayes Irwin (Zachary) and Laura Leigh Davis (Jonathan), her beloved in-laws, Elias Groff (Evie), Randy Groff (Kelly), Kathy Nissley (Dennis), and Sue Sollenberger (Merle). In addition to her immediate family, she leaves a large community of friends and family who loved and prayed for her through this journey. Crystal was an amazing person who loved to take walks in the woods with her pups, enjoy time in the sun, read, and spend time with her family. She was gifted in singing, cooking, and communicating, and used those gifts to serve those around her. Her family and her faith were the most important things in her life. Crystal's faith in God carried her through some very difficult times during her three-year battle with cancer. She left this earth knowing she fulfilled God's purpose for her life and that His faithfulness will continue to support her family for many years to come. SERVICE DETAILS Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in St. Bernards Catholic Church, 811 Shermans Valley Road, New Bloomfield. Rev. Robert Sharman will be the celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pink Hands of Hope, 5325 E Trindle Rd, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania 17050.
