Ronald J. Stuber Sr., 75, of Veterans Way, Ickesburg went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Born Thursday, August 24, 1939 in Ickesburg he was the son of the late Omar B. and Mae (Freeman) Stuber. He was a member of Eshcol Brethren in Christ Church and a retired employee of Penn Dot. He was a former Saville Township Supervisor and a West Perry and Juniata County bus driver. He enjoyed hunting. Surviving are his wife, Betty Stuber. 5 childen, Junia M. Hess and husband Dale of Elliottsburg, Ronald J. Stuber Jr. of New Bloomfield, Lori McNemar and husband Larry Jr. of Mifflintown, Valerie Stuber of Mifflintown and Craig Stuber and fiancée Lori Little of Gettysburg. 3 brothers, George Stuber and wife Phyllis of Ickesburg, Paul Stuber and wife Linda of Hummelstown and Wayne Stuber of PA. 5 granddaughters, 8 grandsons; 3 great granddaughters, 3 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Wayde P.Leahy. Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the Eshcol Brethren Christ Church. Pastor Andrew Meiser, assisted by hospice Chaplin Rev. Daniel Caldwell, will officiate. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Loysville. Friends may call at the Boyer Family Funeral Home, 101 W. Main St., New Bloomfield on Friday evening May 8, beginning at 6 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
