Robert E. “Bob” Keifer Sr, 64, of Donald St., Shermans Dale, died early Friday, May 19, 2017 at his Carroll Twp. home.
Born February 18, 1953 in Carlisle he was the son of the late William F. and Sarah K. (Foose) Keifer of
Morningside Dr., Carlisle.
Bob grew up on Sterrets Gap Mountain. He was a 1971 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School.
He was considered a “Jack of all trades” from C.H. Masland and Sons, Dauphin Distribution, TRW, Robert Noll, LEW, Motorola, Pieza Crystal to Overnight Freight. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Diane Boswell Keifer. A son, Robert E. Keifer Jr. and wife Erica of Carlisle. A daughter, Carrie Sue Keifer and her companion of Shermans Dale. A sister, Betty Mullen and husband Warren of Shermans Dale. 3 gradandchildfren, Olivia, Levi and Chloe Keifer and
several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Keifer Jr and a nephew, Jeremy R. Keifer.
Memorial services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Life House Church of God, 1534 Terrace Avenue, Carlisle. Pastor Kipp Penrod will officiate.
Robert “Bob” Rinehart, 65, of Windy Hill Road, New Bloomfield died late Friday, May 1, 2015 in The West Shore Hospital.
Born July 28, 1949 in York, Pennsylvania he was the son of Charles Rinehart of York and the late Pauline Graham Rinehart.
Bob was a marine veteran of the Vietnam War, an automobile mechanic who worked at Maguire’s Garage and Swartz Garage in Shermans Dale. He was a NASCAR and Oakland Raiders fan and enjoyed gardening and teaching.
Surviving are his wife Charlene Rinehart, two daughters, Jessica March of Boiling Springs and Marsha Garman of Newville. A brother, Chuck Rinehart of York; two sisters, Beverly Rinehart of York and Debra Rinehart of CA. 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in the Boyer Family Funeral Home, 101 W. Main St., New Bloomfield. Rev. Mark Sweeney will officiate. Burial, with full military honors rendered by the Perry County Honor Guard, will be in Snyder’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening 7-9 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
